Tasmania Tiger TT TAC Pouch 11 Modified As Sling Pack

Idea: Beta-TNT

The Tasmania Tiger TT TAC Pouch 11 has been released for a long time. I believe your first impression of it is “a perfect small pack for EDC”: compressible 5L volume, central main zipper and bottle pockets.

Except one thing: it has no sling or shoulder strap, the only way using it is attaching to a vest/body armor, or to another big backpack.

I think it’s the very reason why all the resellers I know stop restocking it, as well as its successor TT TAC Pouch 11 MK II.

I got one at a price far lower than MSRP, the reseller was clearing out. Before I got it at hand, I started planning the modification already.

Sling

It is a small pack, so sling works better than shoulder straps. I design its sling system as below:

Apply the DLL Modular Sling System I made years ago, and use the pouch lower ride adapters as the sling connecting point at the pack top. Utilize the webbing rings holding compressing cord at the bottom corners as the sling lower connecting point. For bicycle riding, additional stabilizer strap is required.

I never expect this thing can be used that way.

Backpad

Well, it’s easy to solve: Haley Strategic Flatpack Backpad can do the trick, or its next best replica.
